IUD Insertions

One of the most popular contraceptive methods is an Intra Uterine Device or IUD. Carina Pytellek, Josh Beckwith and Emma Hoffmann are offering IUD (intrauterine contraceptive device) services at Point Lonsdale Medical Group services using Mirena and Kyleena devices.

Patients are required to make 3 appointments. The initial consultation (30 minute appointment) with the doctor to discuss whether an IUD may be appropriate for you.  After this appointment is completed, the second appointment for the insertion of the IUD is made.  A nurse is present during the procedure to assist the doctor. Patients will then be booked for a 6week check after the insertion to check position, and to address and concerns or questions you may have.
